Volunteering and internships
ERECON is currently recruiting volunteers and interns as outlined below.
1. Volunteer & Intern Recruitment (University Students, Working Adults, etc
Consultations are accepted at any time.
Internships lasting approximately two weeks or longer can also be accommodated at the headquarters.
2. Senior Volunteers
— Put your skills to work in international cooperation —
Number of Positions: A few applicants
Volunteer Details:
• Duties: Headquarters Operational Support (data organization, handling mailings, outdoor training facility maintenance, etc.)
Schedule: Approximately 1 day per week
• Compensation: Allowance (up to 1,250 yen per hour)
*Depending on organizational activities, volunteer opportunities in Southeast Asia are also available.
<For Overseas Activities>
• Duties: Support local activities on-site
• Duration: 1 week or longer per assignment
• Coverage: Local living expenses in the target country (travel costs to/from the country are not covered).
*Requirement: You must become a Regular Member of ERECON.
Qualifications:
• Age 50 or older with prior work experience
• In good health and a living situation that allows comfortable fulfillment of the duties above
• Experience in international cooperation or agricultural technology transfer is highly welcome
Selection and Additional Conditions:
Selection process, including interviews, may be conducted for volunteer registration. Applicants who pass the selection process will undergo approximately 6 months of training, including headquarters volunteer work about twice a month. Furthermore, those who wish to work as International Environmental Cooperation Experts overseas in the future are required to participate in overseas programs organized by ERECON, and must become Regular Members of ERECON at that time.
